7" Gimbeled wood Negus boxed compass. Approximately 150 years old, from the SS Benicia (named after a town in California). The card has: T.S. & J.D. Negus, New York on it.
The wood compass has a crack in the side. The wood dovetailed box is missing its slide in lid.
The box is 10" x 10" x 7", compass is 7" in diameter. SS Benicia is carved in the box.
